The 2026 annual meeting of The Southern Christmas Tree Association will be the 50th consecutive meeting of the organization it has become today. The annual meeting will be September 18-20 at Lazy Acres Agritainment near Chunky, Mississippi west of Meridian. Farm hosts Michael & Cathy May, with their family and employees, are extremely excited to have you on the farm for this momentous occasion.
Michael's parents Rayburn & Shirley May originally started the property as a cattle farm in 1974. In 1980, they founded the Christmas tree farm to help pay for their children's college education. The Mays were actively involved promoting and developing the Southern Christmas tree industry and were integral leaders in the association. Michael as a second generation farmer continues his parent's enthusiasm while "growing" the farm into a go-to agritourism farm in the South.
The two-day meeting will be held entirely on the farm. Lazy Acres Agritainment is a year-round operation providing numerous opportunities for visitors to see, experience and enjoy a working farm. This years' meeting will focus on the numerous experiences available throughout the year.
